Welcome to my site. Here you will find information on hair loss, extensions, styling tips and more. Hair is an extension of your health. As a stylist, I educate my clients on the importance of taking care of their hair , as they take care of the body. Just like you have to feed your body with nutrients, the same goes for your hair. The hair is made up of keratin (protein). What the hair needs most is moisture. Without proper moisture the hair will grow but it will also tend to break at the same time. Therefore, making it difficult for the hair to reach its full growth potential. Whether you wear you hair short or long, moisture is needed. If you have any chemicals in your hair it is important to apply the proper moisturizer to replace the moisture that is being stripped from the hair. When you moisturize your hair properly, it must penetrate into the hair shaft allowing moisture to build inside the hair and not lay on top of the cuticle. As this happens, the hair is able to retain moisture throughout and as it grows, shedding is kept to a minimum, there is less dryness, brittleness, and the ends stay sealed, which will result in visible hair growth.

As you treat your hair it is also important to provide your body nutrients to feed the hair follicle. A lot of times, whatever is lacking inside shows through the hair. If you do not have a proper diet, then is is important to take supplements. The proper supplements will give your body the essential nutrients that it needs, while feeding the hair follicle at the same time. Using shampoos and conditioners have their place in keeping the hair clean, adding shine and softness but for the ultimate in hair care, it is key to eat properly, take supplements and to take time with your hair. Set time aside to wash, condition and just enjoy taking care of yourself. As women, we are always in a rush. I've come to learn that in order to make your life easier, everything takes time and patience. Even when it comes to you. This is what I tell my clients, take your time. I tell them what to use on their hair, show them how to use it, and when they do , their hair grows very nicely and healthy. Also, when you do this, you start to feel better about yourself, your day goes better and you start to feel happy. Women have to stop trying to always find the easy way. There is no easy way. Everything takes discipline. Even when it comes to your hair. So my message is ~ take the time to take care of yourself. That includes your mind and soul (most importantly) and your hair, body and skin.
